What is Trade Testing?

Trade Testing is a crucial pathway to achieving recognition and certification in a chosen profession. Under the Skill Development Amendment Act, an artisan is defined as a person who has obtained a certificate for the effective practice of a particular profession, as described in the Skill Development Act. The significance of trade testing goes beyond words on paper; it is instrumental in achieving recognition, certification and success in your chosen profession. It recognizes that real expertise goes beyond theoretical knowledge and emphasizes the importance of practical skills, technical knowledge and compliance with safety standards. Trade tests are designed to assess practical competency, accuracy and a thorough understanding of industry standards.
